Joe McParland established Civil Marriage Celebrations a few years ago to offer couples seeking civil marriage in the south-western Ontario Region an experienced, registered marriage officiant. After graduating from Assumption High School in Windsor he received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Divinity degrees from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. For the past 24 years he has been employed with the Canadian Federal Government  - the last 15 years in a management capacity.

Joe is very involved in his community and has served on the boards of many charitable and not-for-profit organizations.  He also hosts a weekly municipal affairs program for TVCOGECO, the local cable community television station, where he covers issues dealt with by city and county councils. His great passions in life are his personal faith and value system, his family, friends, sports, the arts, and a strong supporter of Greyhound rescue.

 

Michael Cardinal, a Windsor resident, is self employed as a psychotherapist. He loves gardening, walking 'Jake', his rescued Labrador Border Collie, and home-handyman projects. "Mike" has a passion for history, the arts, social justice and the environment. He is a Licenced Wedding Officiant who cares deeply about people. Whether your wedding ceremony will be civil, interfaith, religious or spiritual, "Mike" has the experience and creative talent to help any couple on their special day.

With his spouse Anh, Mike has also recently established a value accommodation. "University Place ", a former convent, is completely renovated as a small, European style inn complete with a small wedding chapel and optional catering.

Joe and Michael  are authorized to solemnize civil marriages in Ontario through their pastoral charge with All Seasons Church of Canada.
